St. Louis Admirals has a monthly meeting on the first Monday of
each month, preceded by sailing at St. Ferdinand Pond (weather permitting), and dinner at Appleby's. We
also have a monthly sailing at St. Ferdinand Pond on the 3rd Sunday of each month. Aside from the monthly
meetings and sail dates, the St. Louis Admirals hold several sailing events throughout the warmer months of
the year, culminating with our annual regatta in September that attracts hobbyists from all over the midwest
and beyond.
Below is a list of scheduled events for 2009:

Display at the Great Rivers Towboat Festival, Alton, IL |
On hand to provide great music will be Matt Taul & Friends playing their style of Classic Folk,
Bluegrass and Americana. Daily activities include a rope throwing contest, river art displays,
children’s activities, model boat exhibits by the St. Louis Admirals Club, and historical and
educational displays by the U.S. Coast Guard and the U.S. Corps of Engineers. Weather permitting,
there will be two towboats docked on the riverfront that will be available for guided tours.
Delicious food includes BBQ served off the towboat-shaped cooker and a crawfish and a shrimp boil by
Ralph Smith. You won't want to miss over 70 dealers with all types of antiques, glassware, tools,
candles, furniture, and just good old-fashioned junk at the Historic Boat Works on Front Street.
