Radio Frequency List

The FCC prescribes that model boaters use specific frequency ranges to control their craft. These are 27 MHz, 50 MHz (requires a Ham Radio license), and 75 MHz. Most Club members use radios in the 75 MHz band. The chart depicts how many members are using each of the channels within each band. By looking at the chart, it is easy to see where members are using more or less radios on each channel. Since only one boat can operate at a time on each channel, if you are going to buy a new radio system, it would make more sense to specify a channel that is not heavily used. That gives you more of a chance to get out on the water without having to wait for a channel to free up. Your hobby shop dealer can help you will selecting the channels
